Q 1 What is Certified Copy (CC)?
Ans Certified Copy (CC) is a record for verify the ownership of registered immovable/Movable properties.
Q 2 Why certified copy is needed?
Ans Agencies like banks refer to certified copies of registered sale deeds before giving a loan on a mortgaged property to verify the ownership. The income Tax department may also refer to a certified copy to ascertain the value of the transaction and assess the income of the property buyer or seller. CC of registered documents relating to immovable properties is obtained to verify the legality of the transaction of property effected through it.
Q 3 How to register first-time users?
Ans For the first time users go to the Kaveri 2.0 portal  URL:” https://kaveri.karnataka.gov.in/landing- page” in any of the browsers and click on the register button, enter the citizen details which all are mandatory fields, then citizen will get the auto-generated password to your register mobile number/e- Mail ID. After that, you can log in to the citizen page by using your email id and generated password to avail of the services.
Q 4 Can we change the languages when citizens enter to the portal?
Ans Yes. We can change the languages on the home page and also after login to the application by selecting the language change toggle button which is present at the top of the page for both English/Kannada.
Q 5 Can we reset the password?
Ans Yes. Post login to the portal there is an option called “Change password“ by clicking profile/account which is present at the right top corner of the screen to reset the password by providing  the  Old password & new password then click on Change, after that, you can log in to the portal with a new password.
Q 6 Why certified copy is needed?

Q 7 What are the pre-requisites required to apply for CC?
Ans 1. Financial year in which the document was registered.
2. Sub-registration office where it is registered
3. Registration number
Q 8 What are the fees for certified copy?
Ans   Application Fee -Rs.10
    Search Fee-Rs.30
    Stamp duty-Rs.50
    Copying fee (Per page)-Rs.10
Q 9 Can two CC copies will be obtained through single application?
Ans No, only one CC Copy can be obtained in one application and each application should be eSigned       and paid separately.
Q 10 How do we make online payment?
Ans After the application accepted by SR, Citizen must make the payment as mentioned by SR this will redirect citizen to payment gateway to make the online payment.
Q 11 Are there multiple payment modes available?
Ans Yes. There is multiple payment modes are available as below

A. Net banking – Applicant  can use their net banking-enabled account to make
     the online payment
B. Debit Card/Credit Card – Applicant can use their Debit/Credit cards which
    are provided by the bank to make the online payment
C. UPI (GPay/Phone Pay)– Applicant  can use their UPI-enabled account to
    make the  online payment

Note: Manual Payment is not acceptable.
Q 12 Is e-Sign mandatory to apply for certified copy?
Ans Yes, through e-Sign only applicant can sign the application.
Q 13 Is it required to visit office to collect CC?
Ans No, After making successful payment the CC will get downloaded in citizen login.
Q 14 Whether service of CC is under sakala?
Ans  CC is included under Sakala and the timeline for delivery of service in 3 Working Days
Q 15 After login where should the applicant go to apply the Certified Copy?
Ans  Under start application applicant should select Certified Copy (CC) option to apply.
Q 16 How to download the digitally signed CC?
Ans Upon signing the document from Departmental staffs, an option to download the signed copy will appear in applicant login through which applicant can download the Signed copy.
Q 17 Is the Public Grievance System established?
Ans Yes. The facility is available for citizens to raise grievances for below said helpline number.

Q 19 Is the department interacting through its social media?
Ans Yes. The Department of Stamps and Registration actively participates to post new
